I have watched the centre lose its hold, and things fall apart in sorrowful silence. Corruption hath eaten into the very marrow of the land, like a hidden plague that devoureth the common wealth and leaveth only bones where abundance once dwelt. Insecurity stalketh the highways and the homesteads alike, turning brother against brother and neighbour into stranger. The economy, once full of promise, hath reversed its noble course, leaving the people to wander in search of crumbs from tables that should have overflowed.
And now those who plunder the very wealth of the nation call upon the people to lay their backs as stacks, that they may climb upon them and continue their endless feasting. O senseless generation, how long will you let yourselves be used as ladders for the feet of your own oppressors?
The soul of this nation crieth out in the wilderness, a lamentation heavy with the pain of unfulfilled destiny. We stand amidst the ruins of what could have been — broken promises, scattered hopes, and dreams deferred for far too long.
With trembling hearts we lift our eyes and ask in the quiet hours: is there yet a thread of hope strong enough to bind the centre once more, or shall we continue to dance in the rain while complaining that we are getting wet?
