Being Good Gets You In. Working Hard Keeps You There.

Talented people get noticed fast. But hard workers are the ones who stay. Talent can open a door for you. It can’t walk through it for you. It can’t show up the next day, or the day after that, once people stop saying “wow, you’re good.”

The people who go the farthest aren’t always the most naturally gifted. They’re just the ones who didn’t quit when the praise ran out.

Today’s reminder: Being skilled gets you the chance. Showing up keeps it.
