Anger is a natural human emotion, but what we do with it determines whether it becomes destructive or transformative.
Many times, the person who hurt us has moved on, while we continue carrying the weight of bitterness, resentment, and emotional exhaustion.
Forgiveness does not always mean excusing wrongdoing. Sometimes, it simply means refusing to let someone else's actions continue to control your peace.
Choose peace whenever you can.
It is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.

POULTRY AND FISHERY: The distinction between destructive and transformative anger is everything. Holding bitterness while the other person has long moved on is a quiet form of self-sabotage. Thank you for this reminder.

David Onyedikachi: Too often we mistake forgiveness for weakness or absolution, when in reality it's one of the highest forms of self-mastery. Refusing to let another person's actions rent space in our minds and steal our peace.
