It's been 4 years since I started taking salsa lessons, and 3.5 years since I started going to socials and dancing bachata.

I only took beginner bachata classes. Everything else, I learned on the dance floor. Im that annoying dancer who asks, "Can you show me that move again?" every time someone leads something I'd never done before. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ That's how I learn and I try to go to socials in every city I've visit. The progress has been slow, but it's been real. And honestly, I'm proud of how far I've come without formal training. I still have so much to learn! And there are plenty of things to fix, techniques to improve, my confidence, my trust in myself and the people I damce with and I definitely want to become more flexible. Hopefully one day I'll be able to afford classes with great mentors..

I recently came across this video from April, and I was genuinely surprised by how well I managed to follow. πŸ˜‚ I didn't nail every move, but... damn, I'm proud of this dance.

And of course, it helped that my lead in this video was SO good!! πŸ’ƒπŸ•Ί
