Popular culture often teaches us to judge people by headlines, soundbites, and carefully crafted narratives. But history has a strange habit of revealing that some of the people portrayed as monsters were far more human than we were told, while some celebrated as heroes left deeper scars than anyone imagined.

A perceived monster in the media may be an angel in someone’s story. Before we inherit public opinion, let us first learn to see with our own eyes and think with our own minds.”
