The Certificate of Sponsorship Explained

A CoS is a digital reference number your employer assigns through their UKVI sponsor management system — not something you apply for directly.

It contains your personal and job details and is time-limited: once assigned, you typically have a defined window to submit your visa application, so confirm the exact validity period with your employer or on gov.uk, as this can vary.

Your employer can usually only assign a CoS after pre-employment checks (DBS, occupational health, references, registration verification) are cleared.

DM me COS for a walkthrough of what to expect.
