The NHS operates as four separate systems: NHS England, NHS Scotland, NHS Wales, and Health and Social Care Northern Ireland.
Scotland's healthcare quality regulator is Healthcare Improvement Scotland, not the CQC. Scotland's Duty of Candour framework derives from separate Scottish legislation. Wales operates through Local Health Boards rather than NHS Trusts. Northern Ireland operates through HSC Trusts, regulated by the RQIA.
All four nations use Agenda for Change pay scales, broadly equivalent across nations for the same band. If you are limiting your search to England only, broadening to Scotland, Wales, and NI may open additional A-rated employers with lower application volumes.
DM me REGIONS for guidance on where to prioritise your search.
