LIFE IS NOT A RACE; IT IS AN ADVENTURE.
If life were truly a race, we would all begin from the same starting line, under the same conditions, with the same opportunities and obstacles but life has never played that way. Some begin with abundance, others with scarcity. Some inherit stability, while others must first overcome survival before they can even begin to pursue their dreams.
That is why comparison is often a poor measure of a life. An adventure, however, acknowledges different terrains, different callings and different journeys. It is not about arriving before everyone else; it is about faithfully navigating the path before you, discovering, overcoming, growing and becoming. The better question, then, is not, "Who is winning?" but, "How have I experienced life and how has life been experienced through me?"
For while we are busy experiencing life, we often forget that we are also someone's experience of life. We become the kindness they remember, the encouragement they needed, the wisdom that guided them, or, sadly, the pain they carry. In the end, a life well lived is measured not merely by what we accumulated or how quickly we arrived but by the depth of our journey, the faithfulness with which we walked it and the experience we became in the lives of others. That is the true adventure of living.
