This passage records the believers' prayer after facing opposition. Instead of asking God to remove the persecution, they asked Him to continue working through them with power.

Reflection on Acts 4:30–31 (NIV)

The early Christians prayed with unwavering faith:

> "Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."

They desired God's power to be revealed so that people would know Christ. God answered immediately—not only by performing miracles, but by filling them afresh with the Holy Spirit. The place where they gathered was shaken, reminding them that God was present and actively responding to their prayers.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit gave them courage to proclaim God's Word without fear. This teaches us that boldness in sharing the gospel comes from the Holy Spirit, not from human confidence.

Today, God still calls His people to seek His presence, trust His power, and boldly testify about Jesus. When we pray sincerely and surrender to Him, He strengthens us to stand firm and fulfill His purpose.

Prayer Points

1. Lord, stretch out Your hand and bring healing, deliverance, and restoration into my life and family.

2. Fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit and empower me to live a life that glorifies You.

3. Give me boldness to share the gospel without fear or compromise.

4. Let Your signs, wonders, and mighty works draw many people to Jesus.

5. Let Your presence shake every obstacle, break every chain, and establish Your perfect will in my life.

6. May my life be a testimony of Your power, grace, and faithfulness, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
