Your Excellencies President Tinubu and Governor Soludo,240 million Nigerians are writing to you as concerned Nigerian who believes deeply in the future of Anambra State and Nigeria. With all due respect, we want to express that the recent announcement of recruiting 1,000 health workers, while appreciated, is not enough when weighed against the realities facing240 million Nigerians
Anambra State’s population is estimated between 6 and 7.7 million Nigerians. Nigeria’s youth unemployment rate stands at about 5.3% (ILO 2025), and unemployment among graduates is around 9% (ILO 2024). Although state‑specific youth unemployment figures for Anambra are not officially published, available research shows that unemployment in Anambra’s urban centers exceeds the national average. This means thousands of young Nigerians—graduates, skilled workers, and professionals—remain without meaningful employment.
While we acknowledge the progress made:
Rehabilitation of 130 Primary Health Centers is not good enough Nigerian politician travel abroad with their families for medical treatment why can`t you leaders build same hospitals in Nigeria we are curious and asking humble question the money in question is for 240 million Nigerian taxpayers' money not for corrupt politicians with all due respect sirs
Installation of solar power, water supply, and 30 KVA generators
Construction of five new general hospitals
Recruitment of 1,000–1,500 health workers
These achievements, though commendable, do not match the scale of need. Our youths and graduates deserve more than incremental improvements. They deserve bold, transformative action.
We respectfully demand:
Massive investment in farming and agriculture to create sustainable jobs
Real, measurable progress beyond media interviews and announcements
Free, modernized hospitals across all 36 states and 774 LGAs
Properly paid doctors, nurses, and health professionals
Free housing, free education, and free healthcare for citizens
After three years, with all due respect sir the pace of progress does not reflect the urgency of the challenges facing 240 million Nigerians. We demand for policies that match the scale of Nigeria’s potential and the needs of millions of 240 million Nigerians
We demand you to take decisive action that will create real opportunities, reduce unemployment, and improve the quality of life for 240 million Nigerians
