Your Excellency President Tinubu and Lagos State Government,240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep concern about the recent sealing of multiple Nigerian businesses by LASEPA. Many of us understand the importance of environmental protection, but we also see the harsh reality: when businesses are shut down without transparent, publicly accessible proof of violations, 240 million Nigerians suffer.

Families are already struggling to feed themselves, pay rent, and afford basic necessities. Closing businesses without clear evidence posted on publicly accessible platforms creates the perception that enforcement is selective, unfair, or politically motivated. Nigerians deserve to see the exact laws broken, the inspection reports, and the compliance timelines—published openly online.

240 million Nigerians believe that corruption within institutions such as the courts and EFCC has gone unaddressed for decades. Nigerians see officials accused of wrongdoing remain free while small businesses are shut down. This imbalance erodes trust and fuels frustration.

Publish clear, verifiable proof of environmental violations for each sealed business.

Provide warnings, support, and compliance assistance before sealing establishments.

Unseal businesses that can meet compliance requirements immediately.

Address systemic corruption within courts and enforcement agencies.

Invest in large-scale farming and job creation rather than small, symbolic initiatives.

Prioritize resolving root causes of insecurity, including kidnappings that have devastated families for decades.

Nigerians want a government that protects both the environment and the livelihoods of 240 million Nigerian. We demand you to act with fairness, transparency, and compassion.
