President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to accelerating intra-African trade through digital commerce, customs modernisation and stronger regional collaboration. Speaking at the 2026 AfCFTA Digital Trade Forum in Lagos, Tinubu said Africa must move from policy commitments to practical implementation, stressing that digital integration is key to unlocking the continent’s economic potential. He highlighted Nigeria’s National Single Window, the Nigeria Customs Service’s B’Odogwu platform, and broader digital infrastructure reforms as critical tools for reducing trade barriers, lowering costs and connecting African markets. Nigeria is also partnering with Morocco and Kenya to pilot the AfCFTA’s ADAPT framework, aimed at linking national trade systems across the continent.
