So sad to see my Black brothers and sisters bleaching the very skin that tells our story.

So sad to see our natural crowns replaced with imported human hair, while our own beauty is too often overlooked.

So sad to watch many kneel, bow, and place their faith in beliefs introduced by those who once oppressed our ancestors.

So sad that we are still not telling our own stories with the pride and confidence they deserve.

So sad to realize that, for many, the willingness to truly listen remains one of our greatest challenges.
