NMC Registration Pathway.

The NMC Test of Competence has two parts.

Part one: Computer-Based Test, taken in your home country, fee £83.

Part two: OSCE, a practical exam held at one of five approved UK test centres, fee £794. After passing both, the registration fee is £153.

You must also meet English language requirements (OET or IELTS) before the process completes. After a job offer and CoS, you typically have up to 12 weeks from your employment start date to sit your first OSCE attempt, during which you can be legally employed as a pre-registration candidate.

Total NMC-specific fees are approximately £1,170. This does not include English test fees, visa costs, or UK travel for the OSCE — budget separately for these.
