Reflection on Philippians 2:5–7 (NIV)
Epistle to the Philippians 2:5–7 reveals the perfect example of humility in Jesus Christ. Although He is God by nature, He did not cling to His divine privileges or seek personal advantage. Instead, He willingly humbled Himself, took the form of a servant, and came into the world as a man to accomplish God's plan of salvation.
This passage challenges every believer to develop the same mindset as Christ. True greatness in God's kingdom is found in humility, selflessness, and serving others with love. Rather than pursuing recognition, status, or selfish ambition, we are called to reflect Christ's character by putting others before ourselves and obeying God's will.
Humility is not weakness—it is strength under God's control. As Jesus lowered Himself to lift humanity, we too should be willing to serve, forgive, love, and sacrifice for others. When we follow Christ's example, our lives become a testimony of God's grace and love.
