Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has called on Nigeria’s political leaders to focus on tackling the country’s worsening insecurity and economic hardship instead of being consumed by the race for power. Speaking after completing his nomination inquiry form at the INEC office in Abuja, Obi said the exercise prompted him to reflect on the quality of leadership Nigeria needs. He argued that the country’s pressing challenges require transparency, accountability and collaboration across political divides, insisting that national survival must take precedence over partisan interests.
