Acts 7:7 NIV
"But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves,’ God said, ‘and afterward they will come out of that country and worship me in this place.’"

*Context:* This is Stephen’s speech before the Sanhedrin. He’s quoting Genesis 15:14. God is speaking to Abraham about Israel’s time in Egypt. The “nation they serve as slaves” is Egypt. After 400 years, God would bring them out and they’d worship Him.
