The Nigerian government 🇳🇬 has urged its citizens returning from South Africa to properly document any businesses, vehicles, and other assets they left behind.

This follows rising anti-illegal immigration protests and tensions in South Africa that led to voluntary evacuations.

Officials, including the Acting High Commissioner Alexander Ajayi, are collecting these records to support possible compensation claims with South African authorities.

Several flights have already brought Nigerians home safely as of late June 2026.
