Nigeria Needs a Strong State Sector to Drive Its Economy — Ekpo
We must adopt a philosophy where the state sees development as a priority. What we see in the Nigerian context is that the state is expected to provide an enabling environment at no cost to itself. We need experts to direct this policy environment, and the state must be involved. While the private sector can complement the state, it is not the only engine of growth. It is also not the engine of development. Government must be intentional in bringing policies aimed at fostering development.
