6. Close Every Open Door

As you start your day, check your doors. The devil can’t enter where he has no access. *“Neither give place to the devil”* Ephesians 4:27. “Place” means legal ground. Unforgiveness, bitterness, pornography, dishonest gain – these are open doors. James 4:7 links resisting the devil to cleansing your hands and purifying your heart James 4:8. Today, ask the Holy Spirit: “Lord, show me any door I’ve left open.” Confess it. Renounce it. Shut it with the blood of Jesus 1 John 1:9. A clean house has no hiding place for rats. A clean heart has no hiding place for demons. Resist by living holy. Then he flees.
