NNEKA'S DIARY XXXV
Two years later. My writing desk. Our home.
I once believed that love had to be neat, a straight line. Boy meets girl. Boy asks girl out. They marry. No complications.
But my story with Kunle was never straight.
It had curves. Blind turns. Moments I almost gave up. Questions I was afraid to ask.
But finally, I asked them. And I got answers.
Priscilla and I are genuine friends now. She cried more than I did at my wedding.
These days, she invites me to her home, not out of obligation, but because she actually wants me there.
Grace is still my safe place. She's now engaged to Emeka, a young pastor-in-training. She lives with us — in the guest room. She says she's "supervising." I think she just likes Kunle's cooking.
Mrs. Chucks is my spiritual mother. We meet sometimes — not just for counseling anymore, but for tea and laughter. She always says the same thing: "Nneka, you are not lost. You are exactly where you need to be."
Kelvin came to the wedding, smiled, and told me, "Nneka, you chose well." Then he flew back to England. Some doors are meant to stay closed.
And Kunle?
Every morning, he whispers, "Good morning, my lady."
Every night, we pray together — sometimes for Mary, sometimes for our future children, sometimes just to say thank you.
He still looks at me the way he did at that party. But deeper now. More settled.
To be continued …

We thank God oh 🫣
It's pleasing to hear good news about the rest of the crew.
Kelvin!!! I sense there's more to the closed door than meets the eyes.
