As of today, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not personally made a public statement addressing the reported threats and growing concerns affecting Nigerians in South Africa.

Whether you support him or not, this silence is disappointing.

When citizens abroad are anxious about their safety, they deserve to hear directly from their President. A clear message of concern, reassurance, and a commitment to engage with the South African government would go a long way.

Nigerians are not asking for miracles. They are asking for leadership, empathy, and a voice that stands up for them wherever they are in the world.
