BitMEX is reshuffling its top leadership.

The crypto derivatives exchange has lost CEO Stephan Lutz, CFO Ina Steiner, and Chief Growth Officer Raphael Polansky. Former global general counsel and COO Peter Wilkinson has taken over as CEO.

The changes come as BitMEX is reportedly looking for a buyer and trying to streamline costs during another difficult period for the crypto industry.

BitMEX was once one of the most important derivatives venues in crypto, but legal issues, market pressure and weaker trading conditions have pushed the exchange into a new restructuring phase.
