A businessman in South Africa has shared a video on X showing food items in his shop that have gone bad after remaining unsold for some time.
In the video, he displays different foodstuffs that were originally stocked for sale but were no longer in good condition due to low patronage.
Speaking in the video, he said, “These are the items I stocked, but they are going bad because people are not buying.”
He added, “Customer turnout has reduced in recent times, and this is affecting my business.”
He also linked the situation to the ongoing “foreigner must go” campaign in parts of the country, saying, “Since this started, sales have dropped.”
The trader further questioned the sustainability of his business under the current conditions as more items remain unsold.
