I find it deeply disappointing that in 2026, at a time when Nigerians are grappling with rising living costs, unemployment, and failing infrastructure, the suggestion is that people should simply sell akara and roasted corn by the roadside. Many of us are already carrying burdens that should ordinarily be handled by government.

I provide my own borehole because there is no reliable pipe-borne water. When there are issues with my water tanks, I bear the cost and the stress. I generate my own electricity because public power supply remains unreliable.
