The First Lady’s focus on akara and agbado empowerment reflects her limited understanding of what true empowerment should mean for Nigerians. Distributing billions in cash has clear political undertones, and those funds could be far better utilised by investing directly in every local government to support young people and the elderly. What she needs most is a team of competent advisers who can guide her toward policies that create real, sustainable impact.
