3. Submit Before You Resist.

As you start your day, don’t skip step one. James 4:7 says *“Submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil, and he will flee.”*

Order matters. A soldier can’t fight if he’s not under command. Submission means surrendering your will, plans, and emotions to God. It’s saying “Not my way, Lord, Your way.” When you’re submitted, you’re covered. Psalm 91:1 *“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”* The devil attacks those outside God’s covering. Check your heart today. Any area you’ve not surrendered is an open door. Submit that area now. Then resist. Victory is guaranteed.
