O sad and sacred reality of our mortal nature! How fleeting is beauty that resteth only upon the flesh. How swiftly the rose fadeth, how quickly the morning glory closeth its petals. For we are but dust adorned for a season, blossoms upon the wind, candles burning brightly before the night claimeth us.
Let this image speak to thy soul with quiet urgency: Value every moment as though it were thy last. Love fiercely while the light remaineth. Speak the words of tenderness today, not tomorrow. Forgive quickly, embrace fully, and live with such depth that when the wrinkles come — as they surely shall — they shall tell not a story of regret, but of a life fully tasted, deeply felt, and richly spent.
For we are never promised tomorrow. This day, this breath, this fleeting beauty — these are the treasures we are given. Cherish them. Honour them. Live them well.
