Urgent Appeal for Action on Security, Poverty, Food Security, and Public Welfare in Nigeria

Your Excellencies, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the 36 State Governors, the 774 Local Government Chairpersons, 240 million Nigerians write to you today as a concerned Nigerian deeply troubled by the worsening hardship, insecurity, and suffering affecting over 240 million Nigerians. Nigerians continue to pay taxes, electricity bills, and levies, yet the country remains trapped in poverty, darkness, hunger, and fear.

Despite the enormous resources available to all levels of government, millions of Nigerians still lack basic necessities:

Stable electricity

Affordable food

Security in their homes and communities

Access to jobs and economic opportunities

At the same time, the nation is grieving. Children kidnapped more than seven weeks ago remain missing, and their families continue to live in agony. Nigerians deserve answers, transparency, and urgent action.

We are demanding the following:

Address the root causes of boko haram and banditry, including unemployment, lack of education, and economic exclusion.

Invest massively in agriculture so Nigeria can become food‑sufficient. We have vast land, fertile soil, and millions of young people willing to work if given the tools and support.

Provide reliable electricity and affordable internet access, long promised but never delivered.

Create real jobs for Nigerian youths and graduates, not temporary handouts or symbolic gestures.

Ensure accountabilities for all public funds, including taxes paid by 240 million Nigerians.

Show visible, measurable progress, not speeches or promises.

Nigerians are not asking for luxury. We are demanding for dignity, safety, and the opportunity to build a decent life. We reject token gestures. We demand governance that works.

We demand you to act now — with urgency, transparency, and compassion.
