Ghana’s place in the knockout stage was confirmed after Uruguay’s defeat to Spain.

Even if the remaining countries that finish third in their group get 4 points each, there’ll still be one country who makes the top 8 with three points - meaning Ghana (4 pts) replaces them.

8 of 12 best third-placed teams will advance. It’s now is just a question of whether Ghana qualify as the 1st, 2nd or 3rd team in Group L, but their place in the next round is secured.
