FIFA held a moment of silence ahead of the Norway vs France match to honor the victims of Venezuela’s deadly earthquakes.
Sadly, at least 920 people have died after the tragedy, and thousands more are missing and injured.
France supporters also expressed solidarity with manager Didier Deschamps, who is back in France following the death of his mother, Ginette Deschamps.
The Venezuelan people thank this meaningful support in the world stage. Millions of Venezuelans live, love and breathe football. Let's root for them to join the 2027 Women's World Cup and 2030 Men's World Cup for the first time 🇻🇪❤️
May the victim's of the earthquakes, Ginette Deschamps mother and every soul that has passed away and couldn't enjoy the World Cup with us rest in peace. They're here with us in spirit.
May the survivors be safe and get the help and support they need to move forward and enjoy their lives.
We're stronger together ❤️
