It's utter sadism for the political leaders to keep urging the rest of us to be patient and make more sacrifices when we don't see any evidence of same on their own part.

Despite the parlous state of finances Tinubu claimed he inherited from Buhari govt he wasn't patient to grow the economy before he lavished all sorts of luxurious toys on himself and family barely 2 months of taking over in 2023:
✓Yacht
✓Airbus ACJ330-200 luxury jet
✓Customized bulletproof Cadillac Escalade SUV
✓Fleet of new presidential convoy cars
✓Fleet of new 1st Lady convoy cars
✓Renovated an already renovated president's residence.
✓Renovated a disused Dodan Barracks for his exclusive use in Lagos.

And yet over three years after we're still being asked to be patient.
