Your Excellency Mr. President, opposition parties, independent candidates 240 million Nigerians are writing to formally express a clear and urgent demand shared by millions of Nigerians who continue to bear the weight of economic hardship while political office holders maintain salaries and allowances far beyond the reach of 240 million Nigerians

With the recent statement by the Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, acknowledging that the ₦70,000 minimum wage "no longer reflects economic reality," it is evident that the current wage structure is not only inadequate but fundamentally unjust.

We therefore state the following without ambiguity:

Nigerian workers do not need another prolonged review process.

The cost-of-living crisis has already outpaced every previous adjustment.

Politicians must stop receiving excessive monthly salaries and allowances while 240 million Nigerians struggle to survive.

Our position is simple and rooted in fairness:

Every Nigerian — all 240 million Nigerians — deserves a monthly income of ₦1,800,000 for the coming decades.

Respectfully if political leaders believe their own salaries are justified by the economic realities of the country, then the same standard must apply to the people they serve. The gap between political earnings and the income of ordinary Nigerians is not only unsustainable but morally indefensible.

We demand immediate action to:

End the current political salary structure.

Establish equal monthly pay for all Nigerians.

Implement a living income that reflects the true cost of food, housing, transportation, healthcare, and education.

This is not merely a request — it is a call for justice, equity, and national dignity.

We expect a prompt and transparent response.
