Nigerians are lashing out at the 1st Lady over her akara and kulikuli business proposal for the poor not because there's anything inherently wrong with that vocation.
It's her hypocrisy that stinks to high heaven.
Just a fortnight ago this same Remi handed out keys of brand new exotic SUVs to women leaders of APC at a very colourful ceremony. And for emphasis she said they should register the vehicles in their names. This was, according to her, in addition to other monetary gifts.
While the poor should make do with akara and kulikuli business the best that life can provide is reserved for people up there in her circle.

Parent Push: I don’t know what the take Nigeria citizens for.
Like minds🫂: The summary of her statement was that the rich should remain rich while the poor should do everything necessary to remain poor.
'Goke Omidiran: Not every initiative will appeal to everyone, but many women could genuinely benefit. Lagos shows how small ventures can become real income - think of that Lekki akara stand with queues every morning. Let’s not dismiss efforts that might change someone else’s life.
