I chose the charts over a shopfront, and it wasn’t by mistake.

I’m a Trader, not a Businessman, because trading gives me the same money game with fewer chains.

Why Trading sits higher for me:

1. Money moves today, not in 90 days
A businessman in Lagos locks cash in goods, pays Yaba shop rent, pays staff, and prays customers come before month end.
I click buy or sell and know my P&L before NEPA takes light. My capital never sleeps in a warehouse.

2. No overhead army
Business means inventory, dispatch riders, returns, broken freezers, and “oga, salary never enter.”
Trading needs one laptop, data, and skill. My biggest expense is discipline, not diesel.

3. I work from anywhere
Market opens whether I’m in Lekki, Enugu, or inside a bus to Onitsha. No landlord. No market union levy. No closing time.
A businessman is married to his location. I’m married to Wi-Fi.

4. Small capital can still punch
A real business needs millions for shop, stock, and branding.
Trading needs a tested strategy and risk management. The leverage is in the brain, not the building.

5. No staff wahala
I don’t manage attitude, lateness, or theft. My only employee is me. If I lose, I learn. If I win, I keep it.
A businessman spends half his energy managing people, not money.

6. The market is honest and fast
Customers will price you down. Suppliers will delay. Policy will shift.
The chart doesn’t lie. It gives you a price. You take it or leave it. Feedback is instant, not quarterly.

7. Skill compounds forever
A shop can burn. A trend can die. A plaza can be demolished.
My skill follows me across forex, crypto, gold, and US stocks. I’m not tied to one product or one economy. I scale by getting better, not by opening branch #5.

8. Freedom of time
A businessman wakes up to open a shop. A trader wakes up, scans setups, takes two good trades, and closes the laptop.
I trade to live. I didn’t want to live to keep a business alive.

That’s why I say Trader, not Businessman.
One builds a system around goods and people. The other builds a system around self-control and probability.

I chose the second because my money, my time, and my peace stay in my own hands.
