Your Excellencies President Tinubu and First Lady Remi Tinubu,240 million Nigerians are writing as a concerned Nigerian who are deeply troubled by the current state of our nation and the recent public remarks encouraging Nigerians to start small businesses such as frying akara, roasting corn, or selling kuli-kuli. While small enterprises are important, these comments feel disconnected from the scale of hardship facing over 240 million Nigerians.

Nigeria is a nation blessed with abundant oil and gas resources. Yet millions continue to suffer without seeing the benefits of this wealth. 240 million Nigerians struggle daily with unemployment, hunger, and insecurity, while those in leadership live with free housing, electricity, and full security in Aso Rock. This contrast is painful for Nigerians who are simply asking for a fair chance at a dignified life.

Most urgently, Nigerian children have been kidnapped for weeks, and many others have been abducted since 1999. The silence from leadership on these tragedies is heartbreaking. As a mother and as the First Lady, your voice carries weight. Nigerians expect empathy, advocacy, and visible action for the safety of our children.

We respectfully demand the following:

Immediate and sustained action to rescue kidnapped children and address the root causes of insecurity.

Investment in agriculture to ensure food sufficiency and reduce hunger nationwide.

Free and accessible housing, education, and healthcare for all Nigerians.

Construction of new, functional hospitals across the 36 states and 774 local government areas.

Nigeria deserves leadership that listens, understands, and responds to the suffering of 240 million Nigerian. We demand that you prioritize the welfare of Nigerians above all else.
