One rainy day in Ede, I found myself trapped on a roof.

Not because I wanted to be there.

Because getting down could have sent me straight to the hospital.

We were installing 14 units of 550W solar panels. The rails were fixed, 4 panels were already mounted, and the weather looked perfect.

Then the rain came from nowhere.

Within minutes, the long-span aluminum double-pitch gable roof became dangerously slippery.

Me and my boys stood there, soaked and stranded.

We couldn’t continue the installation.
We couldn’t rush down.
We couldn’t stay there forever.

At that moment, I learned something:

In life, every problem doesn’t need speed. Some problems need wisdom.

When the storm comes unexpectedly, don’t panic and make things worse.

Sometimes the safest move is to pause, think, and find your way down carefully.

The rain eventually stopped.

And thankfully, everybody got home safely.

Not every victory is finishing the job.
Sometimes, the victory is making it back alive.
