Your Excellencies President Tinubu and Minister Wike, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express deep concern about the recent public event in which treated tap water was presented, yet neither of you drank it. Leadership begins with example, and many Nigerians interpreted this moment as a signal of doubt about the safety of the very water meant for the public.

Independent assessments have long shown that Abuja tap water is treated, but aging infrastructure means it is not always reliably safe without additional filtration or boiling. This raises an important question: if the water is truly safe, why was it not demonstrated confidently at the commissioning event?

Additionally, Nigerians deserve clarity on the funding allocated to water projects. Transparency is essential for public trust, and we urge a full accounting of how project funds have been used.

Respectfully we also demand on the courts and the EFCC to take more visible action regarding corruption cases involving public officials. Silence or inaction erodes confidence in our institutions. Furthermore, we appeal to international partners—the United States, the European Union, and other nations—to continue enforcing global anti‑corruption standards. Any seized assets belonging to corrupt Nigerian politicians should be returned directly to benefit 240 million Nigerians, not routed through political offices. Funds should support Nigerians through direct relief, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and housing across all 36 states and 774 local government areas.

Respectfully Mr. President, Nigerians also expect decisive action on longstanding national challenges. We demand you to address the root causes of insecurity, including boko haram, and to intensify efforts to bring home all children kidnapped since 1999. We also demand for progress on commitments such as improved electricity access, affordable or free data, and meaningful investment in agriculture to ensure food security.

Respectfully to the governors of all 36 states: with the establishment of state police, we demand reforms that prioritize safety, professionalism, and respect for Nigerian human rights. State police must never be used to suppress peaceful protest or harm Nigerians. Instead, they should focus on protecting communities and rescuing kidnapped children kidnapped since 1999

Nigeria deserves transparent leadership, accountable governance, and institutions that serve 240 million Nigerians with integrity. We demand you will take these concerns seriously and act in the best interest of all 240 million Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA
