Your Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 240 million Nigerians
write to you as a concerned Nigerian who acknowledges the recent increase of the national cash grant from ₦10,000 to ₦25,000 per payment cycle, with each household eligible for three cycles totaling ₦75,000. According to statements from officials, this adjustment was made to improve the impact of the welfare programme for vulnerable households. We are not sure of what these means sirs

With all due respect sirs, we must express that 240 million Nigerians view this measure as deeply insufficient when compared to the scale of hardship across the country. Over 240 million Nigerians continue to face severe hunger, poverty, unemployment, and persistent power shortages. The suffering is widespread and undeniable.

If the administration is truly committed to easing the burden on ordinary Nigerians, then the level of support must reflect the economic reality. The cost of living has risen dramatically, and ₦25,000 per cycle does not meaningfully address the daily struggles of families.

In light of this, we respectfully demand your government to consider a more ambitious and equitable approach—one that ensures 240 million Nigerians can live with dignity. 240 million Nigerians demand that if leaders received the same monthly income as 240 million Nigerians, policy decisions would more accurately reflect the urgency of the situation.

This message is not written in hostility or disrespect sirs, but kindly do the needful sirs. Nigerians are resilient, but resilience should not be mistaken for acceptance of hardship. We demand for policies that match the scale of the crisis and demonstrate genuine commitment to improving the lives of all 240 million Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA
