Alausa queries FUTO VC over 'irregular appointment' of 24 aides

Tunji Alausa, minister of education, has queried Ikechukwu Dozie, vice-chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) in Imo state, over the alleged irregular appointment of 24 aides in his office.

In a memo dated June 25, 2026, and signed by Kareem O.L, acting director of university education at the federal ministry of education on behalf of the minister, Alausa faulted the appointments and directed the vice-chancellor to reverse them “forthwith” and provide evidence of compliance without delay
