Having state police would be a very good development. However, I have concerns about how some governors, senators, and local government officials might use such a system.

With elections always around the corner, there is a fear that state-controlled security agencies could be influenced for political purposes. Some people worry that ballot boxes could go missing and that it would be difficult to hold anyone accountable.

State police has its advantages, but there must be strong safeguards to prevent abuse and ensure that the system serves the people rather than politicians.
