🪖 Troops Recover Over 2,400 Rustled Livestock After Clash with B@nd!t T@rr0r!sts in Zamfara 🚨

Troops of 1 Brigade, under Counter‑T£rr0r!sm Operation 6, have recovered more than 2,400 rustled livestock following an encounter with suspected terrorists on the outskirts of Bukkuyum Town, Bukkuyum LGA, Zamfara State.

The operation began when troops responded to a distress call at about 12:25 pm on June 22 regarding the movement of suspected t£rr0r!sts in the area.

Troops swiftly mobilised, made contact, and engaged the t£rr0r!sts in a firefight. Superior firepower forced the t£rr0r!sts to flee, abandoning a large number of livestock suspected to have been rustled from communities within the area.

📦 RECOVERED:
✅ 2,423 sheep
✅ 10 donkeys
✅ 1 calf

This is not just about livestock it is about livelihoods. For many rural communities, cattle, sheep, and donkeys are not just assets; they are savings, insurance, and daily survival.

Recovering over 2,400 animals is a massive disruption to the t£rr0r!sts' economic lifeline. Cattle rustling is a primary source of funding for banditry in the North‑West. Every animal recovered is a blow to the t£rr0r!sts' war chest and a restoration of hope for affected families.

Efforts are ongoing to identify the rightful owners and reunite them with their livestock.

This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat t£rr0r!sm, banditry, and cattle rustling in Zamfara and other parts of the North‑West region.

No safe haven. No economic lifeline. No impunity.
