The Broken Window
A broken window left unattended,
A crack ignored, a fault defended.
Soon weeds rise where dreams once grew,
And wrong becomes the normal view.
Nations seldom fall in a day;
They drift when small failures stay.
One broken window, one silent bend,
Until hope forgets how to mend.
Yet Broken But Not Bent declares:
Though scars remain, the spirit dares.
For what was broken can still be repaired,
When people choose to care and build what they once spared.
The decline of a nation begins when we ignore the first broken window. Its renewal begins when we decide to fix it.
