The highest mark of character is not defined by success or wealth, but by the moral principles that govern a person's choices. A gentleman understands and he is driven by righteousness, justice, and morality. Their actions are guided by what is inherently right, regardless of the personal cost or reward. A petty man understands and he is driven by profit, personal gain, and comfort. Their decisions are determined by what will personally benefit them, often at the expense of others or ethical boundaries.
