Judicial welfare in Nigeria should be treated as a matter of national importance. Judges deserve adequate remuneration, improved working conditions, and the resources necessary to discharge their constitutional duties effectively. However, the welfare of the judiciary must never be used as bait or a tool by political office holders to influence, manipulate, or compromise the administration of justice. An independent judiciary is fundamental to the rule of law, and judicial welfare should strengthen—not undermine—its independence, impartiality, and integrity.
