First, we examine what happened in an Abuja courtroom last week, where a Federal High Court judge defied a Court of Appeal order to deliver a judgment deregistering five opposition political parties. The appellate court called it judicial rascality. We call it what it really is: a blueprint for one-party rule, with the fingerprints of the ruling establishment written all over it.
Second, we confront the blood that nobody in power is counting. Over ten thousand Nigerians killed in two years. Communities buried. Farmers chased off their land. Teachers beheaded. And a government that counts delegates while families count bodies. We ask the question that must be asked: why are we still dancing around the cycle instead of dismantling the entire criminal network? And we talk about what real kinetic and non-kinetic solutions must look like.
Third, we turn to the global stage, where Ghana's President Mahama stood at the United Nations and drove a historic resolution declaring the transatlantic slave trade the gravest crime against humanity. While 123 countries voted yes and Ghana carried the flag for the entire Black race, Nigeria, the most populous Black nation on earth, whispered a quiet yes from the corner of the hall. We ask: where is the sleeping giant, and when will it lead?
