Éric Chelle is set to continue as head coach of the Super Eagles after reaching an agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on a new contract.

NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko spoke on the agreement reached with Éric Chelle on new terms and remuneration. The deal also includes a new role for him in charge of the U-23 side, the Dream Team, ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games as they look to qualify for the first time since winning bronze medal at the 2016 edition in Rio de Janeiro.

Chelle’s next major assignment will be guiding Nigeria through qualification for the 2027 AFCON, with the qualifiers set to begin in September. The Super Eagles will compete in Group L alongside Madagascar, Guinea-Bissau and Madagascar, with only one available qualification slot available.

We'll be rooting for the Super Eagles 💚🤍💚
