If the government further restricts access to cash through stricter enforcement of the cashless policy, it is ordinary citizens who will bear the consequences. In situations such as kidnappings, it is not the government that assists families in raising ransom payments. When such payments are delayed, the lives of captives are often put at greater risk, while the government remains largely unaffected.
Many of the APC government’s policies appear disconnected from the realities faced by the people. It is unfortunate when policies are introduced without adequately considering their practical implications and the hardships they may impose on citizens.
