STOP THE TEASING CULTURE

Child teasing is often dismissed as a joke, but repeated mockery can seriously damage a child’s self-esteem and emotional development.

Statements like:
“You are too slow.”
“Why can’t you be like your siblings?”
“See how fat you are.”
“You will never get anything right.”

may seem harmless to adults, but children internalize these words deeply.

A child who is constantly teased may begin to feel inadequate, unwanted, or unintelligent. Some become unusually quiet, afraid to express themselves or participate because they fear embarrassment or rejection.

Correction should never come through humiliation. Children learn better in environments where they feel respected, safe, and encouraged.

Parents, teachers, relatives, and caregivers must understand that words shape a child’s confidence. Many adults still struggle with insecurities today because of the hurtful words spoken to them during childhood.

Let us raise children with kindness, patience, and healthy communication.
The way we speak to children today greatly influences the way they see themselves tomorrow. ❤️
