It’s becoming increasingly imperative to have a dash cam in Lagos these days. With all kinds of scams and staged incidents happening on our roads, having video evidence can save you from unnecessary stress, false accusations, and even financial loss.

One recent example is the “pure water scam” where young boys deliberately hit a vehicle, throw down a sachet of pure water they are carrying, and immediately accuse the driver of causing their loss. They then appeal for compensation, hoping the driver will pay to avoid a scene.

While many Lagosians are honest and hardworking, it’s unfortunate that a few individuals continue to devise new ways to exploit unsuspecting motorists.

A dash cam doesn’t just record accidents; it records the truth. In a city where stories can change in seconds, having clear evidence is becoming less of a luxury and more of a necessity.
